Norma Jean Hansgen, 92 of Danville, left us peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Hawthorne Inn, with her loving family by her side. Graveside services will be on Thursday, December 1st at 1pm at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Catlin.
Norma was born in Danville on May 27, 1930 to Kenneth (Jake) and Ada Wright Cork. She attended Oakwood High School and worked for General Electric and Lauhoff Grain. Norma was a previous member of Women’s Golf Association at Elks Country Club, Harrison Park and Blue Needles. Thirteen years of winters were spent in Sarasota, Florida.
Survivors include two sons: Gary (Marilyn) Hansgen of Danville and Michael Hansgen of Catlin; two daughters: Debra Hansgen of Danville and Patricia (Mel) Sanford of Catlin; seven grandchildren: Ashley (Robert) Woodard, Ryan (Abby) Hansgen, Carrie (Darren) Owens, Drew (Allie) Hansgen, Chase (Hunter) Sanford, Logan (Josh) Geiken, and Cole Sanford; and eleven great-grandchildren: Raiden Jackson, Harlow Woodard, Lily and Gavin Hansgen, Maysa Owens, Cecelia, Jack and Augustus Hansgen, Rafe and Renlee Sanford, Tucker Geiken, and two more arriving soon. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Hansgen on Dec 11, 2001 and her son Douglas Hansgen on April 6, 1995.
