Patricia Ann VonLinger, 72 of Danville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at OSF Sacred Heart Hospital in Danville. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 10th from 1-7pm at The White Oak Barn, located in Kennekuk Park. Please come as you are!
Patty was born December 9, 1952 in Chicago to John and Lucille (Saunders) VonLinger. She moved to Danville in her late teens and never left. Patty was a people person and worked at The Deluxe as a waitress when the Poulos family owned it, and also at Lincoln Lanes. She loved birds and always made sure her hummingbird and regular bird feeders were always full. Patty was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed bowling. More than anything, she doted on and adored her dog Blue, who was the love of her life.
Patty married Dave Jackson in 1969 and the two had two children- Nicole and Shane. While they later divorced, the two have remained friends over the years. Patty leaves behind her children: Nicole Jackson and Shane (Amanda) Jackson; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also had stepchildren Dave Jackson and Brandy Jackson, who survive her as well. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters: Sherry, Larry, Bill, and Linda, and an infant grandson Shane.
