Perry Hill Obituary

Perry Wayne Hill, 83 of Danville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart in Danville. Per his wishes his body was donated to science.

Perry was born to Perry and Maggie (Talbert) Hill on December 13, 1938 in Danville. He attended Bismarck schools, later enlisting in the US Army for a short time. Upon returning from the military he worked at NACCO for over thirty-two years in Parts Distribution. Perry was a food connoisseur- he enjoyed a good meal and the very simple things like sharing a cup of coffee with friends. He could often be found taking his great-grandchildren to the park and the museum, and doing anything their hearts desired. Perry liked to take leisurely “Sunday” drives to look at architecture and buildings, and enjoy nature. He was a Cubs fan and the annual trip to Wrigley to watch the game was a family favorite.

Perry married Patricia Renick in 1965 and the two were the best of friends, right up until the end. Perry leaves behind a son Richard Hill; two granddaughters: Kristina Fitzgerald and Tatiana Elliott; and four great grandchildren: Amir, Neyamiah, Alani, and Angelina. His parents preceded him in passing, as well as a son Michael Hill.
