Regina Gayle Richardson

Regina Gayle Richardson, 67 of Rossville, passed peacefully in her home in the early morning hours of Friday, July 28, 2023, surrounded by those who loved her.

   Regina was born to Haze and Virginia (Woolverton) Richardson on October 6, 1955 in Chicago. Regina enjoyed gardening and was an avid crafter. More than anything else, Regina was a woman who spoke her mind and loved her family fiercely. It was due to this fierce love for her family that generations of nieces and nephews affectionately knew Regina as “Auntie.”

   Regina leaves behind her longtime companion: Richard Elliston; her loving daughter Kimberly Ude (Richardson); one grandchild: Alexander Ude; two sisters: Loyce Mohammed (Richardson) and Rhonda Stafford (Richardson); and two brothers: Terry Richardson and Jeffery Richardson; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister Candace Richardson, her sister Sherrie Matheny (Richardson), and her brothers Jimmie Richardson and Johnnie Richardson.

   The family invites friends to join them for a day of love, laughter, and celebration at Regina’s home, 215 Park Place in Rossville. Please stop by anytime on Saturday, August 19, 2023, to honor Regina and remember her with stories, photographs, and memories.
