Obituary

Remington Elizabeth Jo Mikel, passed into the arms of Jesus before we were properly introduced, on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She joins her big sister Kopelynn Mikel in Heaven.

Remi’s parents Alexus Reasor and Austin Mikel held their baby girl only briefly in their arms, but she will remain forever in their hearts. She is survived by not only her parents, but her big brother Braedyn Mikel; her grandparents: Chantel and Jeffrey Reasor, Deana (James) Maring, and Archie (Teresa) Mikel; a great grandmother: Sylva Reasor; and several aunts and uncles: Tate (Ali) Maring, Randall Maring, Phillip Maring, Dezi (Clyde ‘CJ”) Lewis, Britani Maring, Cortney Mikel, Lilly Mikel, Izabella Gauf, Leland Gauf, Tyler Hale, Jacob Hale, Austin Reasor, Taylor Peak, and Sydney Holycross (Domonic Hagan). She also has a plethora of cousins that she would’ve been adored by: Randall Jr, Allison, Elizabeth, Zeek, Addy, Matthew, Jaxxon, Lyly, Lani, JC, Kyrie, Benjamin, Vanessa, Blaire, Harper, Rowie, Audriana, and Reagan. She was greeted in Heaven by her big sister Kopelynn, and her great grandparents Harvey Reasor and Julia Gobel.
