Rita Kaye Haskins, 77 of Danville, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at her home. Visitation will be from 11-1pm on Monday, July 21st at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will follow at 1pm with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. She will be entombed at Sunset Memorial Park after.
Rita was born April 18, 1948 in Perrysville, IN. to William and Juanita (Riley) Young. She attended North Vermillion schools, graduating in 1966 from North Vermillion High School. Rita worked as a Control Desk Clerk at Auto Zone from 1991 until her retirement in 2011. Rita enjoyed doing word puzzles, going out with her friends from Auto Zone, and watching some of the Classic shows on TV.
Rita married Arthur “Art” Haskins on February 25, 1967 at Union Corner Church and the two shared fifty-six years together before his passing in July of 2023. She leaves behind her two sons: Stacey and Mark (Amberly) Haskins, two step-grandchildren: Haleigh and Konnor, and a brother Dick Young. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, and a brother Bill “Shorty” Young.
