Robert Lee Cundiff, 90 of Danville, went home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 23, 2021.
Robert was born on October 13, 1930 in Newtown to Lee Barton and Myrtle (Anderson) Cundiff. He attended Newtown school while also helping on the family farm. Robert worked for Sears as a service repairman for several years before retiring and beginning his own business- Bob Cundiff Appliance Repair & Refrigeration. When he wasn’t working, Bob could be found camping, spending time with his family and close friends, and snow-birding in Florida.
On August 15, 1946, Bob married Anna May Bloomfield in Hebron, Kentucky. The two were blessed to spend sixty-seven years together before her passing in 2013. He leaves behind his grandchildren Kimberly (Mark) Powell, Robert (April) Cundiff, Kyle Cundiff, David (Laura) Cundiff, Cassandra (David) Kuyrkendall, and Larry Cundiff III; his great grandchildren: Tyler, Hunter, Kayla, Austin, Summer, Brandon, Beaux, and Brentley; and his two great-great grandchildren: Paislee and Acelynn. He will be missed dearly by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna, a son Larry Lee Cundiff Sr, and a grandson Larry “J.R.” Cundiff Jr.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Kruger Coan Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will be officiated by Rev. Wiggins the next day, Saturday, September 4th at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Newtown-Hebron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
