Roger Gutterridge Obituary

In the early morning hours of April 6, 2022 Roger A. Gutterridge Crossed the bar. Fairwinds and following seas our dear friend and loved one.

Roger Allen Gutterridge was born February 24, 1970 in Danville Il to Michael and Elizabeth A. Gutterridge, their 2nd born son but story has it he was their #1 son.

On January 15, 1994 he married the love of his life Linnette M. Wilson who from that day forward they were inseparable until her passing on May 22, 2021. They are now dancing together for all eternity.

Together they raised 3 children. Tyler, Elizabeth and Jacob Gutterridge. Rogers legacy will continue through his 3 grandsons. Payton, Gabriel and Ashton.

He also leaves behind his brother Troy Gutterridge, brother in laws "Joey" Wilson Jr.(Penny), Albert (Jayne) and sister in laws Leeanna (Dan) and Betty Wilson. His uncle James Gutterridge. Aunts Barbara Wright and Anita (Buddy) Wright. While there are many cousins who will greatly miss him , not only were they cousins he shared a special friendship with Greg and Dave Hawkins. Roger has a long list of nieces and nephews who will undoubtedly miss his funny stories. Proceeding him in death was his wife Linnette, his parents Michael and Beth Gutterridge. In laws George and Betty Wilson, Uncle Raymond Wright as well as both paternal and maternal grandparents.

Roger graduated from Danville High School in 1988 following graduation he served on the USS Moinester as a US Navy Machinist Mate Second Class until 1994. He went on to attend HDU (Harley-Davidson University) taking his skills and knowledge to his family owned Gutterridge Harley Davidson Dealership until 2011. Roger stayed after hours almost every night to build and prepare race bikes. He would then take all over the country to crew his riders. In late 2011 he opened House Of Bikes as co-owner and operator until 2015. In 2015 until 2019 he went to Reiman's Harley Davidson in Kewanee IL. to carry on his name sake of the late Roger Reiman. The Reiman's team  and Packee family was his 2nd family. Roger was a lifetime, 21 year, 3rd degree, Master Mason with the Olive Branch Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the American Leigon Post #210.

Roger never met a stranger and made alot of life long friends. He was often nicknamed "Fat Boy" and "Guttman" While there are friends for miles he cherished a special friendship with Heather Pierce, Chad Van Camp and Larry Davis. Each will tell you they shared many hilarious moments full of crazy, sad, fun and hopeful times. It was rare if Roger missed a motorcycle race. He could recall nearly every lap and every rider. His happiest place was the infield of turn 3 at the springfield mile with a beer in his hand and friends and family by his side. Rest easy, ride on Radical Rog.

Visitation for Roger will be held at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville, from 4-8pm on Wed, Apr 13th. The local Patriot Guard will stand guard.  A celebration of  will be hosted by Fatman's Warehouse on Friday, April 15th from 5pm-10pm, at 127 Walnut Street.  Danville, IL. 61832. A memorial ride for Roger and Linnette will be held at a later time
