Rose Kathryn Sexton, 87, of Danville, was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2021, at her home.
Rose was born March 25, 1934 in Danville, the daughter of Roy and Shellanna (Alexander) Rothwell. She married the love of her life, Harold Leroy Sexton on May 27, 1956 in Danville. He proceeded her in death on December 28, 2004
Rose is survived by four children, Kim Carnahan, Danny Sexton (Vicki), Karen Nipper (Paul), and Michael Sexton, all of Danville plus many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Kathy Infante, her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and a great-grandddaughter.
Rose enjoyed attending church and showed her love for Jesus every day. She also cherished spending time with family and friends. Hobbies included sewing, crafting, collecting, and playing board and card games.
A celebration of Rose’s life will be held 11:00am on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street, Danville, IL 61832, with visitation from 10:00am – 11:00am before the service on Friday, July 9. Pastor Raymie Gordon will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Danville.
