Ruthie Gail (Truax) Sigler

Ruthie Gail Sigler, 69 of Danville, went Home to be with The Lord on Monday, March 3, 2025 at her home, with her longtime companion and friend Robert by her side. Per her wishes, there will be no public services

   Ruthie was born in Danville on May 23, 1955 to Melvin and Barbara (Livengood) Truax. She attended Danville schools and later earned her GED. Ruthie attended DACC and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at the Danville VA for eleven years. Ruthie had a big heart and loved not only people, but animals as well. She loved gardening and flowers, and as she got older, watching her shows on TV. Ruthie had a passion for reading- anything she could get her hands on, especially true crime novels.

   Ruthie leaves behind her daughter: Starla Shelato; several grandchildren; her siblings: Lillie Sibert, Billie Jo Thurston, Paula McCool, Gary Truax, and Timothy Truax; her longtime companion and friend Robert Johnson; and their family friend LeMoyne Stephen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Melvin Truax Jr and Jean Baxter, her son Dale Pierce Jr, a daughter Brenda Ervin, and a grandson Michael Shelato.
