Shawn Alan Pickett

   Shawn Alan Pickett, 50 of Danville, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. A Memorial Visitation will be on Thursday, June 5th from 5-7pm at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville.

   Shawn was born on October 25, 1974 in Danville to Dan and Barbara (Martin) Pickett. He attended school in Tampa, Florida where he later graduated from Gaither High School. Shawn worked for UPS as a Supervisor for nearly twelve years, and then worked in Maintenance at several hotel chains all over Florida. When he wasn’t working you could find Shawn fishing and catching the Cubs games and generally any sports games in general. He also enjoyed playing his fantasy football.

   Shawn leaves behind his father: Dan (Norm) Pickett; his mother: Barbara Pickett; his brother Danny (Samantha) Pickett Jr; a sister: Melissa Ann Pickett-Franklin (Felipe); his grandfather: Robert Pickett; his uncles: Bob (Robin) Pickett, Michael (Gloria) Pickett, and Mack Bias; his nieces and nephews: Angela Major, Savannah Duncan, Chandler Duncan, Jacob Gonzalez, Justin Pickett (Marco), and Jaden Pickett; and a very close friend: Wendy Seay-Wallace.
