Shawn A. Williams, also known as “Red Dog,” was born in Danville, IL on October 29, 1976, and passed away on May 21, 2026 in Danville. He was an awesome son, brother, dad, uncle, and friend. He was a great handyman, very caring, and would do anything for anyone with an open heart. He enjoyed life, was always the life of the party, and was always a friend to everyone. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and football. He earned his GED in 2000.
Shawn dated Brandy Dillion for fourteen years and had three children with her; Presley Aaron Dillion, Taylor James Dillion, and Chayse Allen Williams. He is survived by his two sons: Presley and Taylor; one granddaughter: Lyle May Cillion (Taylor); four sisters: Lisa Booth (Williams), Carolyn Williams (Fegett), Cathy Joe Beard, and Krystal Loell (Price); and three brothers: Daniel Oliver Williams (Bird), Daniel Lee Williams, and Billy Joe Williams. He is also survived by his nephews: TJ Hancok, Kalab Williams, Steven Meyer Jr, and Dakota Melton; his nieces: Kelly Waldor, Autumn Waldor, MiKenzi Davis, MiKaylee Meyer, Hope Brown, Destiny Williams, and Brittany Makemson; a great nephew: Oliver Hayes (MiKenzi and Blaise); and many more.
Shawn was preceded in death by his mother: Rose Catherine Price, his father: Daniel Oliver Williams, his stepfather: John Price, a son: Chayse Allen William, a sister: Catherine A. Williams, and his grandmother: Mary Lockhart.
Shawn will be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned and announced in the near future. When we announce the date, time, and please of his celebration, we ask that you come the way you are, and let’s bring the party for Red Dog. That’s the way he would want it.
