Sue Watson Obituary

Sue Watson, 73 of Danville, left this world surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, January 3, 2022 at her home. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and a Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, January 8th from 11-1pm at Living Water Apostolic Church, 1204 W. Williams St. in Danville, with a Memorial Service to immediately follow. Per IDPH and CDC guidelines, the family has requested that social distancing and mask wearing be required.

Sue was born on February 15, 1948 in Evansville, IN to Phillip and Ruth (Willis) Wyrick. She graduated from North High School in Evansville on June 8, 1966. Sue and her husband were successful business owners of Watson Oil Company. She also had twelve years of experience in the real estate industry with George Weller and Associates of Danville, and in banking as she worked at Palmer Bank in Potomac. Her hobbies and interests included volunteering as an election judge, and as a member of the Henning Civic Club. Sue was an active member of Living Water Apostolic Church, where she also volunteered as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed gardening and baking, as well as never missing an athletic event of her grandchildren’s.

Sue married Kenneth L. Watson on September 27, 1973 in Henning, Illinois and the two have shared forty-eight years together. She leaves behind her husband; three children: Amy (Dave) Seitz of Bristow, VA, Kelly Hammond of Mahomet, IL, and Kim Kruger of Danville, IL; seven grandchildren; two brothers: Phillip (Donna) Wyrick of Evansville, IN and Randall (Janet) Wyrick of Merrill, WI; and several nieces and nephews. Her beloved dog Max will also greatly miss his Mom. Sue was preceded by her parents and an infant sister Linda Wyrick.
