TJ Gunnin

   TJ Gunnin, 39 of Danville, Illinois passed away on December 16, 2022 at 9:48pm at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana, IL. TJ was born March 1, 1983 to Vickie (Coleman) Ezell and Steve Gunnin, at Kenneston Hospital in Marietta Georgia.

   He left behind the love of his life and fiance' : Toni Douglas, as well as his son: Constantine “Dean” Gunnin; plus two step-daughters: Alainnah Douglas and Jordyn Douglas. He is also survived by his parents Vickie Ezell (Jimmy), and Steve (Lynn) Gunnin from Georgia.  He had 4 sisters: Brandy(Brandon) McCullough, Chasity(Matt) Ezell Duckett, Stephanie Kane, and Victoria Steeger-Gunnin, along with various nieces and nephews whom he loved very dearly.  He had one half brother who preceded him in death: Brent Gunnin.

   TJ graduated from North Cobb High School in 2001 and took some classes at the University of Georgia. TJ's passion was his family.  He loved to visit new places and explore with them.  His favorite vacation was when he took his family to Rock City in Tennessee in 2021.  This was one of his favorite places to visit as a child and he wanted his family to experience the same joy he had as a child. 

  TJ loved to work with his hands- from fixing small engines to tinkering with anything that was broken.  He also enjoyed helping friends and family with small projects- from plumbing, to remodeling, along with fixing their cars including mechanical and body work.  He was also a trained tattoo artist and loved to show off his artistry and creativity. If you knew TJ, then you also knew he was a comedian.  He loved to make people laugh, and no place and no one was safe from his comedy. 

  He will be missed by many.  May you fly high and always watch over the ones who loved you the most.  Always and Forever in our thoughts and hearts.  Visitation will be at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E Williams Street in Danville on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 10-12 with a memorial service immediately following.
