Terry Lee England, 65 of Danville, passed away at his home on Friday, February 20, 2026 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. While a Celebration of Life is currently being planned, a benefit is planned for March 8th at 2pm at The Half Way Inn on Route 150. There will be food, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, custom t-shirts, and great music. We encourage everyone to attend.
Terry was born in Danville on March 23, 1960 to James and Josephine (Lawyer) England. He attended Danville schools and worked for years as a roofer.
Terry loved to have a drink with friends, listen to music, building things with his hands, and spending time with those he loved. He loved his Harley but also his Chopper as well. And roofing wasn’t just a job, but a passion that he did even off the clock, where he spent a lot of his time with his special nephew Chuck Lowe.
Terry leaves behind his wife Valarie England, who he has shared twenty-eight years of the ups and downs with; his children: Ashlee (David) Skinner, Johnny (Ginna) Troxal, Joshua (Jessica) Powell, Tyler Dobbs, and Tara Mowery; seventeen grandchildren; four-great grandchildren; his mother Josephine Oaks; several brothers and sisters; and lots of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, step-father, a daughter Rhonda Brannin, a grandson J.W. Gilbert, and numerous brothers and sisters.
