Timothy "Tim" Perry Verhoeven

   Timothy “Tim” Verhoeven, 56 of Oakwood, left this life suddenly on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. A memorial visitation is planned from 1-3pm on Sunday, March 6th at Kruger Coan Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville, with a short prayer service at 3pm. Following services, the family invites everyone to join them at Sarge’s Tap, 409 E. Main Street, for food and fellowship.

   Tim was born December 11, 1965 to Tom and Jan (Baldwin) Verhoeven. He attended Oakwood schools, graduating from Oakwood High School in 1984. After he finished school, Tim started his career at Danville Metal Stamping, later moving on to PDQ Lawn Care, and finally to Turner Construction. He was currently working for the Vermilion County Highway Department in maintenance, where he has been for the past twelve or so years. Tim was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, especially turkey and deer, with his son Brady. Both children enjoyed racing go karts with him. In the past few years he has started welding fire pits, and had his own mini sawmill.

   Tim met Katrina Handley at First Illinois Credit Union in 1992 and the two began a relationship ending in marriage on September 17, 1994. From their union came two children Briana and Brady Verhoeven. He leaves behind his wife, his two children, and a brother James Andrew Verhoeven (Steve).   Tim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
