Vincent J. Homoky, 57, of Danville, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the University of Chicago Hospital. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 9:00 – 11:00am at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville, Illinois. The family will be doing a private graveside service at Willowbrook Cemetery in Fisher, Illinois directly following the visitation.
Vince was born on June 9, 1963 in St. Charles, MO, the son of Sandra K. (Lammle) Homoky and Louis Edward (Selma Jean) Homoky. He graduated in 1982 from Argenta-Oreana high school. In his younger days, he coached youth soccer, coached swimming, and played water polo in high school. He loved diving and was a very good swimmer. He was a franchise owner of Hardee’s, McDonalds, Alpha Baking, and then worked for McLane Midwest. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, swimming, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Lori (Richards) Homoky; his parents, 2 brothers: Steven R. (Claire) Homoky and Douglas Edward (Carri Beth) Homoky; 1 step-sister Taina K. Johnson; 3 daughters: Patricia L. Homoky (Dean Warnock), Kimberly C Homoky, and Heather K. Gietl; 3 step-daughters: Lisa M. (Michael) Hoit, Brittany A. (Jeremiah) Rohwedder, and Amber L. (Derek) Hahn; and 11 grandchildren.
