William L Wakeland

William L. Wakeland, 88 of Danville, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Colonial Manor in Danville.  Graveside Services will be at 11:00am, Saturday December 21, 2019 at Oakhill Cemetery in Danville, with Pastor Patti Wise officiating.

William was born April 2, 1931 to Joseph and Velma (Cox) Wakeland.  He was a tool and die maker at Danville Metal Stamping for 35 years.  He was a member of Anchor Lodge 980, and had received his 50th year certificate for Master Mason.

William married Joyce Haas on June 24, 1951.  William is survived by his wife Joyce, 3 sisters: Theda McQuown, Helen Gouty, and Norma Dean Hestler; brother Joseph (Cindy) Wakeland.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
