William “Bill” John Warnigus III, 84 of Danville, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at his home. Per his wishes, there will be no public services.
Bill was born in Danville on July 13, 1940 to William John and Helen (Sykes) Warnigus II. He attended school in Monterey, Indiana before enlisting in the US Navy. Bill served proudly in the US Navy from 1958 to 1962, which was during the Bay of Pigs. Upon his return from the service, Bill attended DACC where he earned Machinist Certification. He worked at TeePak (Viscofan) as a machinist for over twenty-three years. He was a devoted and hard-working man who gave his all until retirement in 2003.
Bill married Joyce Hill in October of 1966, and the two have enjoyed building their life together for the past fifty-nine years. He leaves behind his loving wife Joyce, was a loving brother-in-law to Nancy Roseman, Janet Tryon, and Cathy Ward, a fantastic grandpa to Naiomi Pierce and Noa Swanson, and was a wonderful uncle and great uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. Bill’s close friends Nathan and Lisa Campbell, Kim Willis, and Carl “Bud” and Rosie Master will also greatly miss him. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
