Aron Cooper Obituary

Aron R. Cooper, 56, passed away Thursday January 23, 2020 at 4:17am at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, Illinois.

Aron was born in Danville on May 4, 1963 to Bill E. Cooper and Lois M. (Garretson) Cooper.  He attended Grant School, Southview School, and Danville High School.  He also attended several mechanical schools, including Onan and Sennebogen Training, earning his service training certificates. 

Aron was a hard worker, he worked for Lenovers, Heatcraft, Mervis Industry and previously worked for Danville Mass Transit.  Aron worked until he physically could not, due to his illness.

Aron enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing and boating, and working in his garage on restoration projects.  He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Aron married Laura K. Russian on July 18, 1998, they spent 30 years together.  Survivors include his wife Laura Cooper, his mother Lois M. Cooper, 3 children: Justine (Jonas) Story, Amy Cooper (Marshall Peaslee), and Jacob W. Cooper, 5 grandchildren:  Jillian Story, Caydence Peaslee, Zaylen Peaslee, Alexus Peaslee, and Amahya Peaslee; brother Eric Cooper; Sister-in-law Marsha (Gary) Mansfield; brother-in-law Steve (Debbie) Russian, and his life long friends Ben & Gaylynn Gabbard.  Aron was preceded in death by his father, Bill E. Cooper.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 10-11am Friday, January 31, 2020 at South Side Church of Christ, 611 S. Forrest Street in Danville.  Memorial Service will be at 11:00am, Friday January 31, 2020 at South Side Church of Christ with Pastor Kevin Ziegler officiating.
