Charles "Chunk" McClain Obituary

Charles McClain, 24 of Westville, left this World for a better place on Friday, March 18, 2022. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, March 24th at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St. in Danville. Services will be at Noon on Friday, March 25th at the funeral home with Jay Sorrell officiating, and burial following at Greenwood Cemetery. The family has requested that you dress casually. A dinner will follow graveside services at The Vineyard Church, 3733 Poolside Dr, Danville.

Chunk was born on November 14, 1997 in Urbana to Carolyn Williams and Orville McClain. He attended Westville schools, graduating from Westville High School in 2017. Charles worked at KIK and also helped his stepdad lay flooring for a short time.

Chunk was a people person. You never found him without a friend by his side. From fishing to playing poker, attending Cubs games, drinking his Busch Latte, and cooking on the grill with his Mom. He never met a stranger and had the biggest heart around; he was loved by everyone he met. Chunk enjoyed dirt racing with his friends. And he was always the life of the party- anyone’s party. All the time.

Charles leaves behind his parents: Carolyn and Michael Fegett; and Orville McClain; he was blessed to be raised and have two fathers that loved him. He has two brothers: Michael Williams and Raymond McClain; a sister: Rebecca (Chase) Maxwell; a twin sister Sara McClain, who he was never far away from; and three bonus siblings: Amber Fegett, Ashly Duncan, and Justin Fegett. His grandpa John Stuebe, many nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts and uncles will also greatly miss him.  There are too many close friends who were more like family, then we can even begin to name. Just know that you were all a very important part of his life. His grandparents: Phyllis and Ronald Cox and Jean and Charles McClain, as well as an aunt Judy May  preceded him in death.
