Dannie Davis

  Dannie Davis, 81, of Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at The Waters of Covington. He was born on January 1, 1943, in Danville, IL to Daniel and Ruth (Wright) Davis. Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Kruger Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

  Dannie retired from Heatcraft after 40 plus years of service as a painter and assembler. In his younger days, Dannie attended Douglas School through 8th grade and earned his GED at DACC.  He also worked at Steak and Shake on Main Street and at The Nook. In the 80s, he was a volunteer firefighter for Kent Township Fire Department. An avid outdoorsman, Dannie loved go hunting for deer, turkeys, and mushrooms and also enjoyed fishing and archery. He looked forward to the Indianapolis 500 every year.

  Dannie is survived by his children:  Danny (Linda) Davis, and Deanna (Nick) Bolinger; Grandchildren:  Danny (Misty) Davis, Krystal (John) Guzman, and Kylie Bolinger; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Jones and Nancy Herkes; and his little buddy, his beloved cat, Kittycat.  Dannie was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Rosemary.
