Doris M. McNamara

Doris M. McNamara, 95, of Danville, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019. 

Doris was born on January 18, 1924 in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph Chester and Cuma Eileen Dora.  She married Joseph E. McNamara on January 18, 1946 in Danville Illinois, he preceded her in death in 2011.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; son Kevin; brother Joseph; and sister Juanita.

Doris attended Danville schools, graduating from DHS.  She completed training as a Registered Nurse, graduating from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing, class of 1945.  Joseph and Doris raised eight children and were active members of St. Patrick, later Holy Family Roman Catholic parish.

She is survived by her children: James (Jill) McNamara, Daniel (Nancy) McNamara, Mary (David) Pritchett, Nancy (Craig) Ebersole, Carol (Michael) Conklin, Maureen McNamara, and John (Jeanette) McNamara.  Doris is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville.  Rosary will follow at 7pm on Thursday.  Funeral Mass will be at 11am on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Holy Family Church, 444 E. Main Street in Danville, with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
