Dorothy “Dot” Carpenter, 92, of Danville, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Visitation will be from 1-3pm on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Graveside Services will be at 1pm on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Atherton Cemetery.
Dot was born June 22, 1927 in Oakwood to Virgil and Fay (Allison) Boyer. She enjoyed watching TV, avid sports fan, doing word searches, and was a big animal lover.
Dot married Emil Carpenter on December 20, 1945, and shared 42 years together until his passing in 1988. Surviving are 7 children: Susan (Robert) Matzka, Linda Davis, Peggy Uhey, Penny (Larry) Baker, Cindy Quivey, Abbie (Jim) Zarn, and Jamie Carpenter; 14 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and sister Jeannie Pearson.
She was preceded by her husband, parents, daughter Robin Carpenter, grandson Shannon Uhey, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
