Jack Lee Harper, 76, of State Line, Indiana , went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 4, 2020. His family will be having a private memorial service at Crown Hill Cemetery, with a burial service to be determined at a later date.
Mr. Harper was born December 12, 1943 to Fred and Leona (Gritton) Harper. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Navy. Jack Harper took pride in everything he did, be it serving his country, fishing, gardening, or providing for his family. He retired from Tee-Pak in Danville, IL after 41 years of dedicated hard work. More than anything, Jack loved the Lord and was dedicated to being a loving husband. He enjoyed most sweet tea and his Sweetie (Loretta). He loved singing praise to God and exercising his sense of humor! Jack Harper was an honorable and humble man who loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He impacted and changed so many many lives for the better.
Jack married Loretta Taylor on February 14, 1985. She survives along with his brothers Bill and Don Harper. Also surviving is his son, Daniel & wife Keri-Ann Harper and his daughter, Erin Harper-Vignola. Surviving grandchildren include: James & wife Amber Rademacher; Krystal Rademacher; and Daphne (Rademacher) Chase. Jack also has 6 surviving great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his son, Jim; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
