Johnny "John" Clyde Duez

Johnny “John” Duez, 69 of Danville, was taken from us all too soon on Friday, March 8, 2024 at his home. A visitation will be from 4-7pm on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Following services he will be cremated.

   John was born in Danville on February 10, 1955 to James and Shirley (LaMar) Duez. He attended Westville schools, graduating in 1973 from Westville High School. John worked at CCL (Peterson) while in high school, and once he graduated went to work for Norfolk Southern doing track repair. When he wasn’t working, John could be found playing BINGO, enjoying a cold one, and enjoying life without a care in the world. He enjoyed family game nights which were always full of fun and laughter.

   John married Deanna McCord on February 14, 2014 and the two shared the past ten years together. He leaves behind his wife Deanna; his mother Shirley; his siblings: Brenda Atwood, Bob Duez, Jack Duez, and Eva Duez; three stepchildren: Star McCord, Marlena Campbell, and Madrian West; and several step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister: Teresa Carrigan, a brother-in-law: William Atwood, and a mother-in-law: Shirley Martin.
