My son. My soul, Randy L. Moreman Jr, 48 of Danville, left this world to walk with our Lord on May 2, 2023 at 2:25am after a quick and fearless battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 11-2pm on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will follow at 2pm with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Allhands Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his Grandpa Crippin.
Randy was born at Lakeview Hospital to Randy and Judy (Crippin) Moreman on February 28, 1975. Randy’s favorite jobs were at the Mariott Hotel as maintenance in Baton Rouge, LA and as maintenance at a senior living facility. His soft and caring heart served him well and he loved working with the senior residents. The last five years he has worked at Kickapoo State Park where he enjoyed being outdoors. Randy’s favorite hobby was fishing. Randy lived in Baton Rouge, LA for five years and was close to his two best friends Sammie and Carol Baker.
Randy is survived by his mother Judy Moreman, his son Donovan Wade (26) of Westville, and his girlfriend Amanda “Amy” Long of St. Joe. Randy and Amy had just started their journey together. The last five years she brought so much joy and fun to Randy’s life and a refreshing view of the world. They were a happy, crazy, fun-loving couple.
He was preceded in death by his father Randy Moreman Sr; cousins Kelly Snack and Josh Crippin; uncles Randy Crippin and Tommy Crippin Jr; paternal grandparents Kenneth and Marjory Moreman-Pletch; and his maternal grandparents Tom Sr. and Jackie Crippin-Thomas.
As his mother, I held Randy in my arms the day he was born, and I held my baby boy in my arms as he took his last breath and went to be with all the loved ones he has missed. His best furry friend Charlie was by his side as well. He has and always will be loved by family and friends alike.
I want to personally thank OSF Home Health & Hospice for their loving care and dedication to not only my son, but for me as well. You made his last days pain free and restful and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
