Rickie Jones Obituary

Rickie Lee Jones, 69 of Danville, died on July 12, 2022 at OSF in Danville. Graveside Services will be Friday, July 22nd at Noon at Danville National Cemetery with Raymie Gordon officiating and military honors by American Legion Post 210.

Rickie was born October 2, 1952 to Eugene and Patricia Jones who preceded him in death. He served in the US Navy from 1972-1973 and was honorably discharged. In his free time Rickie enjoyed playing frisbee and ball outdoors, as well as board games and dice. He married Elenora Ellot in 1985 and they divorced in 1995; she has since passed away. He remarried Sherrie Cox in 1999 and she preceded him in death in 2020.

Rickie leaves behind a son Rickie Elvio Jones; three siblings: Susie (Ron) Hemp, Tracie (David) Ross, and Rocky Jones; thirteen nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and nephews; three stepchildren; and several cousins. He was also preceded in death by a brother Randy Jones, a sister Patty King, and a great nephew Noah.
