Sheryl Campbell Obituary

Sheryl Lee Campbell, 69 of Danville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 30th at First Baptist Church, 1211 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, from 11-1 pm. Services will follow at 1pm with Pastor Paul Rebert officiating. There will be no graveside services.

Sheryl was born on June 27, 1952 in Danville to Ivan and Rosemary (Taylor) Snider. She was one of eight children. Sheryl attended school in Danville, graduating from DHS in 1970. In April of 1975 she was setup on a blind date for Valentine’s Day. He canceled on her but returned the very next day with an apology and chocolates in hand. It was obviously love at first site as they tied the knot six months later on June 28, 1975 and became Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Sheryl Campbell.

Sheryl enjoyed raising her two daughters and making ahome for her small family. She made sure religion was a staple in their household, and helped in the nursery at First Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed making candies with her daughters, having quality talks and helping them find their way with help from the Bible. Sheryl enjoyed reading Amish books, quilting, and playing on her tablet. Her and Paul enjoyed fishing together, and she jumped at any chance to spend time with her two grandsons. Later in life she returned to DACC where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting in 2004.

Sheryl leaves behind her husband of nearly forty-seven years Paul; her two daughters: Kayla (David) Sanders and Katie Miller; two grandsons: Tyler Sanders and Jacob Miller; a sister Diana (Ed) Duncan; and three brothers: Eugene (Verna) Snider, Joseph (Julie) Snider, and Stephen (Cheryl) Snider. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Gladys Rossiter, Cathy Bean, and Mary Augustson.
