Terry L. Curley, 62, of Danville, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at OSF Hospice Home in Peoria. A memorial visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 pm Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville.
Terry was born September 13, 1958 in Danville to Leon and Doris (Bannon) Curley. Terry graduated from Bismarck High School. He worked most recently as an auto technician at Courtesy Dodge on Main Street in Danville, Illinois. He was an ASE Master Mechanic at Koehn Motors, American Chevrolet, Green Chevrolet, Midas Muffler, and Fifth Dimension Collision Repair. When he lived in Georgia, he was a mechanic at Washington Road Firestone in Augusta Georgia.
Terry was a car guy, he loved everything about Dodge, Mopar, Chrysler, and anything muscle car related. He previously owned a 1968 Pontiac Firebird and was a member of a car club in Thompson Georgia, Big Boys Tinker Toys. He was an avid Illini football and basketball fan, followed NASCAR, and loved football. His favorite outside activity was mowing his grass. He volunteered as a youth football coach while his boys were playing sports, and loved every bit of watching his kids play sports. His brother, Doug Curley, was a coach with him for his son Ryans baseball team in 1997 where they won the championship that year. Terry also was on the board during the youth football seasons while Andrew was playing, and he absolutely loved his classic rock and roll.
Terry married Linda Holzer in North Augusta South Carolina on October 13, 1991. They lived there for 6 years and then moved to Thomson Georgia for 6 years. They later moved back to Danville Illinois in 1996.
Terry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Curley; daughter: Amanda and Jeremy Behne; sons: Ryan and Nicole Curley, and Andrew Curley and fiancé Concetta Dal Santo; grandchildren: Breanna, Kael, Quinn, and Ella. He loved being a grandpa just as much as he loved working on cars.
Terry was preceded in death by his Parents, Leon and Doris Curley; brother: Steve Curley, and his infant daughter Carlina Curley.
