Thelma Juanita Cating, 91 of Danville, left us peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2022, surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be on Friday, November 11th at 11am at Greenwood Cemetery.
Thelma was born November 11, 1930 to Herman and Berthenia (Reeder) White. She attended Fairchild Grade School and later returned to earn her GED. She worked at Continental Filling as a Jacketpack Operator for many years until an injury forced her to retire. As her health allowed, she enjoyed attending Danville Dans games, as well as painting, working crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite shows on TV.
Thelma leaves behind her sister Dorothy Shutes and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her stepfathers: Jesse Allison and Roy Smith, her first and second husbands: Robert Lockhart and Charles Cating, two sisters: Theda Hastings and Marjorie Rodgers, and three nephews: Daniel Rodgers, Robert Hastings, and Richard Rodgers Jr.
