William Joseph Rutledge Sr., 77, of Danville, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Per his wishes, he will be cremated with no public services planned at this time.

Bill was born March 26, 1943 in Danville to Walter Herbert and Rosie (Ott) Rutledge. Bill worked and retired from General Motors. He enjoyed the outdoors, landscaping, yardwork, camping and fishing. He was a Mason and past Monarch at GAO Grotto.

Bill married Terry Barry on August 24, 1963, she survives. Also surviving are his children: William (Gale) Rutledge Jr, and Tammy (Brian) Lemley; grandchildren: William (Alexis) Rutledge III, Matthew (Brittani) Rutledge, Andi (Seth) Staton, Erin (Eric) Pollmann; great-grandson: Kean Staton; brother: James Rutledge. He was preceded in death by his parents.
